The artwork for Strange Bedfellows was something that Daniel envisioned a while before the album itself was completed. After briefly using the iPhone app "Hipstamatic", he came to the realization that the photos looked better than any standard point and shoot camera he owned. While there's a tendency to overdo the effects with this and other similar photography applications, Daniel discovered a subtle combination of effects that he thought really stood out. Using this app, he (along with his girlfriend) compiled a series of shots from different locations, all using the same settings. The picture that ended up on the cover is from a house in Bermuda, while the other shots come from different areas of Long Island, primarily the Hamptons. There were also photographs taken in Massachusetts, but those ended up on the cutting room floor.
